Stephen Hinton – Application Manager
Stephen and his team take care of processing applications. Additionally, the team keep up to date with the world water and food situation and the positive initiatives ongoing. Stephen has initiated innovative and global projects as well as implementations of SAP, among others for Ericsson. He is one of the co-founders of a Swedish Eco-village and has extensive experience within project, programme, method and human resource development. A Very Beautiful Place is Stephen’s blog about sustainable development.
Julie Tran – Branding Manager. Julie is a business generalist with a passion for Social Entrepreneurship, CSR and Social Innovation. She has worked with HR, business consulting for start-ups, online branding and business development. Julie consults and assists WAF’s management team in building up a strong brand identity by working consciously with WAF’s values in the organizational development. She holds a SPRØK bachelor and M.Sc. in Innovation and Business Development from CBS.
Tina Lindgreen – Sponsor & Relations Manager. Tina works with Corporate monetary and service sponsors and creating CSR opportunities. WAF’s Sponsor Packages are designed to meet individual requirements. “We are looking for people who can help apply for funds and work with private investors”. Tina is also recruiting ambassadors, members for Advisory Board and Selection Committee and working on getting celebrities on board. “I do this because it’s fun and feels good to do some good”
Pelle Møller Lutken – Advisory Board Manager. Pelle has specialised in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and cross-sectoral partnerships. His experiences range from Danida, UN and NGOs to CSR consultancies in the private sector. Pelle’s current base is in Geneva where he is a consultant with the UN and ILO, and doing a Post Graduate in CSR Studies.
Stine Louise Ahrendt Laursen – Marketing Manager. Stine is Marketing Manager and in collaboration with the rest of the media team she makes sure our stakeholders can always read the latest news within the water and food situation and follow WAF’s development and the upcoming Award.
Stine holds a MA in Danish and Communication from Copenhagen University and has worked with CSR, campaigns and marketing.
Christina Nissen – Institutional Partners Manager and Applications Coordinator
Christina holds a Masters Degree in International Development from the University of Denver. As Institutional Partners Manager her work consists of creating networks between WAF and institutions such as the UN, FAO and DANIDA in order to access individuals working on water and food initiatives around the world and to utilize the vast pool of knowledge these institutions have on the issues of water and food. As applications coordinator, she coordinate the work being done on processing award applicants, sending out calls for applications and facilitating communications between applicants and WAF.
Julie is the Event manager and working on the award show. “In the event team we’re are preparing everything for the night the award is given out. We’re talking to performers, a scenographer, a producer, technicians and others who are practically involved in the show”. Julie is 22 and studying social science at Roskilde University of Denmark. She has been doing volunteer work for many years for different NGO’s where she have been doing smaller events.
Rita is German and has lived and worked in Denmark for 15 years both in Danish and international companies.
“I took a break of work and traveled 6 months through South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Since I came back to Denmark in summer 2009, I was looking for something to put my new energy into, a challenging task on a “different” level. In the countries I visited I experienced the serious water- and food problems; so, when I read about this project, I just thought this would be perfect work to be involved in, because it supports unique ways and ideas of improving these areas all over the world.”
After her education at Roskilde University Anne worked for at couple of years as a journalist writing articles for Danish newspapers. “Since it has always affected me that millions of people around the world struggle every day to fulfill their basic needs I have chosen to use my journalistic skills working voluntarily with public relations for WAF”
